Can I bring my dog to the festival?
We would suggest that you leave your pup with a sitter or in the comfort of your home. Although we love dogs, be advised that our streets are VERY crowded and we would hate to see your pup get trampled on by someone. It is up to your discretion on whether you want to bring them, but if you do, please make sure they are socialized with kids, other dogs, and are approachable. Also, please make sure you bring water for them because the Mothman Festival weather can be very warm in September. All dogs must remain on a leash at all times. There is one pet friendly hotel in Gallipolis, Ohio which is straight across from the festival. Give the Quality Inn a call 740-446-0090 for pet friendly rooms.
Can I use my credit card or should I bring cash?
There are plenty of shops and museums who accept credit/debit cards. Some merch vendors in our vendor area will have the ability to take credit cards via a square reader, however, there will be some that cannot. So it is advised that you BRING enough CASH with you so you'll be covered, especially for things such visits to the food vendors and participating in some of the fun things at the festival (like the hayride, kids activities, etc). There are 2 banks within walking distance with ATM's , Peoples at 421 Main and Ohio Valley at 3289 Viand . Use them early if you need cash.
