2011 Mothman Festival in Planning
10th Anniversary of the Mothaman Festival
October 12, 2010
Not even a month after the successful end to the 2010 Mothman Festival has gone by, planning for next year's festival has already started. 2011 marks the 10th Anniversary for the Mothman Festival and Jeff Wamsley, Carolin Harris and staff are already planning big things to celebrate this momentous occasion.
The new website is continually being improved upon - with coming improvements to the interactivity of the site, as well as an improved newsletter and updated photo galleries for each year of the festival. We are painstakingly preparing for a complete revamping of this site, as well as the other two sites (mothmanlives.com, and the Mothman Museum website) in preparation for celebrating the 10th Anniversary.

TNT Area Closed Until Further Notice
Illegal Explosives Found Stored in Igloos
September 1, 2010
Even though the TNT area has long been a storage site for explosives, it's also a popular Wildlife Management area. Back in May of 2010, one of the storage igloos exploded - it has left an uncertain risk for area residents, hunters, and other people who enjoy the wildlife reserve - as well as Mothman enthusiasts.
The West Virginia State Police, and the Federal authorities have now shut down the TNT area until further notice pending completion of a full sweep of the property for more illegal, and potentially dangerous explosives.
