7th Annual Mothman Festival



*Returning to the Mothman Festival for their seventh performance since the first festival will be the band "MOTHMAN". They will be performing on Saturday evening at 8pm on the main stage at the WV Farm museum during the hayrides. CDs and other band merchandise will be on sale at the band's vendor tables.

Kentucky's own TURTLEMAN will be onhand Saturday and Sunday for giant snapping turtle handling demonstrations. Central Kentucky's Ernie Brown catches and handles 40lb snapping turtles with his barehands and will be appearing at the festival to demonstrate his outrageous talents. You won't want to miss seeing TURTLEMAN.

*DJ Scott's Karaoke will be showcasing those brave enough to take the mic. Scott will be spinning tunes from 1pm till 4pm in front of the post office steps on Saturday and Sunday.

*WSAZ's on air personalities Josh Fitzpatrick (meteorologist), Susan Nicholas and Doug Korstanje (news anchors) will be on hand at the festival to meet and greet everyone from 1pm till 3pm on Saturday the 20th. Both Susan and Doug both had cameo roles in the Mothman Prophecies movie as news anchors appearing on the television in the diner scene of the movie.

MOTHMAN COSTUME CONTEST to be held on Saturday at 4PM at the Mothman Statue....for entry details and guidelines email Deb Stover at debshomeoffice@yahoo.com.

 

*The newly crowned Miss Mothman queen contestants will be onhand to meet and greet festival attendees. Also scheduled to appear will be the Mason County Fair queen and other royalty.
